For a while now I have been reading a few chapters of Psalms in addition to my devotions. They have really been helpful to me and today I felt like I should write my own “Psalm” to the Lord. Since the last chapter of Psalms is 150 I called this one 151.
Lord, my God, You are awesome and mighty.
You take the storms raging in my heart and replace them with peace.
When I am anxious, I can rely on you.
My doubts and fears are placed in your hands and I rest knowing you control all things.
Oh Lord, you are the great healer of my heart.
You took my broken spirit and made it new.
Even through trials and hardships I have seen you work to fulfill your promises.
Everyday I learn to trust you more, to have patience, to see your work revealed.
My confidence is in you, Jehovah Jireh, my provider.Â
Any time I hear of someone going through a hard time I pray that they can know the peace that I have found in my relationship with God. I can rest in Him knowing that my salvation is in His hands and not my own.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.Â
Do you have a Psalm in your heart? Maybe you just need to cry out to Him. Not all Pslams are one of praise many are of frustration and pain, asking God to hear the cry of your heart. He wants to listen. He will answer. Just read His word.
